Mike Britton
17 year old Mike Britton is best known as the bassist for the genre bending California metal band Apothesary. He also dabbles in guitar, drums, session bass, and recording, producing local Bay Area bands. He cites bassists such as Justin Chancellor (Tool) and Rex Brown (Pantera) as his main influences. He started playing guitar as part of a bet between his father and himself to see who can learn the instrument faster. He won the bet and started taking lessons at the age of 12. He took 3 years of classical guitar as well as a year of jazz drums but found the bass through desperation
“The bass player for my first band quit so I rushed out and bought a bass to try and pick it up to fill the hole and it turns out I had a natural groove! From that day on bass was my instrument!”
As for Apothesary there on the look out for a label to release their debut album “A Harsh Reality”
